In our short years of life, 2020 definitely takes the win for the weirdest, most outrageous, depressing and confusing year to date. A lot of has happened all over the world and very close to home for us, and sadly, a lot of it hasn’t been that great. However, despite COVID-19 being introduced to the world and having to go into “quarantine” for 3 months, I truly believe that the little bit of time we got off gave us a new perspective on ourselves, the life we’re living, and the life we want to live in the future. Despite what you may think about yourself, this year was a year of growth and development, I say that because you have come so far in the last few months. And although these changes and developments may not yet be reflected on paper when it comes to your career and financial situation, you’ve created a solid foundation for yourself that you don’t realize you were missing almost your entire life.
Jacob, these past few months I’ve watched you go from zero to 100 when it comes to your discipline. And while you still have a long way to go, you’ve been able to slowly start discovering what actually makes you happy and the direction you would like your life to go in the next few months and years to come. No matter what you do, I am always proud of you.
You have yet to realize the success that is about to come your way from your first cycle and starting a personal training business. You are about to thrive in ways you never thought you could. But I do truly believe, the last thing you need to do for all of this to come together, is believe in yourself. I’ve already told you a million times I am here to love and support you through everything and anything. If you have an idea, I will be there to help you bring that vision to life – what makes you better and stronger, will make our relationship better and stronger as well.
I want you to forget the pressures from family and life in general, and I want you to work hard for what makes YOU happy and remember that you are not following anyone else’s timeline but your own. Turning 27 doesn’t mean you have to have a bank account full of money, or have a career in full speed. Turning 27 means being happy and grateful for another beautiful year of living – life is the ultimate gift, everything else is just extra. Turning 27 is an accomplishment on its own. I will forever be grateful for you and everything that you are, and I hope you can find it in yourself to see it the same way that I do. You are amazing in every way and I never ever want you to forget that. So, here’s to you on your 27th birthday.
I love you,
P.s. I spent weeks trying to come up with the perfect picture to paint on this card – one that best reflected 2020 and us. Then I thought… fuck it… the boobies are for the both of us, and will probably be the best gift of the year that we share LOL. Love you!!!!!
